DWSEA - Borderland Reflections Art Show Sponsor 11/08/25
DWSEA was a proud sponsor of Rural Arizona Engagement's Borderland Reflections Art Show in Douglas, AZ on Nov 8, 2025. Artists from Cochise & Santa Cruz Counties and Nogales & Agua Prieta Mexico, presented their perspectives of life and challenges of living in the borderlands. DWSEA donated gift card prizes to the top three winners: #1 Vernicci, #2 Facade & #3 Albert Velasquez. Congrats to ALL the talented artists who participated.

Enjoy the comradery of our monthly discussion group, Blue Jenny Democracy Cafe, where members talk about issues that are most concerning to women. For younger progressives, DWSEA hosts a monthly group, Good Trouble Gathering, that provides a venue & opportunity for those 50 & under to meet, mingle & discuss their concerns.

DWSEA prides itself in hosting speakers who enlighten & educate members on causes and interests we hold dear as women and progressives. During election years we focus on enhancing our political knowledge, helping our county party & hosting local, county, state & nation-wide political candidates.

DWSEA awards an annual donation to a deserving female student each May to help with furthering their education after high school. Help promote our scholarship in area schools & by tabling at community events. Have input in updating our scholarship application & selecting our recipients.

Join club members in facilitating meaningful connections with community members in need. Aid DWSEA in sharing our values with donation drives and volunteering for community outreach events. Share our vision of taking care of our community and helping our own members who need assistance.

Help broaden the club's influence & build DWSEA's reputation in the community by volunteering to work our DWSEA booths at local events. Register new county voters & pass out promotional literature about the club. Assist DWSEA in co-hosting local events with civic-minded groups & entities.
dwsea scholarship award
DWSEA awards a scholarship each May to a qualified student in Cochise County who is advancing their education. Applicants must be at least a graduating senior and a registered Democrat. If under age 18, one parent must be a registered Democrat. Click on the photo to the left of our past recipients for our online application. Applications due by April 1, 2026
GOOD TROUBLE GATHERING
Good Trouble Gathering is DWSEA's monthly event designed to provide a venue for Young Progressives to meet, mingle & discuss issues that are most important to their lives. Every 2nd Thursday join Tara Clayton & Justin Westbrook at MY YOGA Community Center located at 4641 AZ-92, Sierra vista, for networking, socializing, mobilizing and great conversation.
